To keep reservists motivated and encouraged in their duties, Otjozondjupa Police Commander Philip Hidengwa has promoted 16 reservists in the region.
Among them, one reservist was elevated to the rank of inspector and another to sergeant 2.
The remaining 14 were promoted to either sergeant 1 or warrant officer 1 or 2, with three of the promoted reservists being women.
Commander Hidengwa urged the public to support the reservists in fulfilling their responsibilities effectively.
"With the rules and regulations of this country, or with the law, they should start complying with them. Let us educate them as well, and not just arrest them. However, when they refuse to listen, we will take further steps."
The Otjozondjupa Police have initiated Operation Unite, which aims to combat crime and educate the public about the laws. This operation will continue until April 2nd.
