The Governor of the Hardap Region, Riaan McNab, has pledged to serve with commitment and ensure unity and inclusivity.
He gave this assurance when he received the office keys from the Hardap Regional Council Chairperson, Francois Dausab.
"I want to make sure of only one thing: that we take our people out of poverty. That's my mission. Every single Hardapian has bread on the table every day, sleeps well every day, and has a comfortable house. I will be the happiest servant of the people of the Hardap Region."
McNab assured that he would work with the regional leadership at all levels.
He commended his predecessor, Salomon April, now a Member of Parliament, for his contribution to socio-economic development during his tenure as governor.
"He has laid a very good foundation, and we should not tarnish that foundation. We must work on that foundation."
The Hardap Regional Council Chairperson provided an overview of the region's projects and programs and pledged his support to the government.
