Young boys in Otjiwarongo were challenged to take responsibility and shape their futures at a "Boys to Men" seminar over the weekend.  The event brought together community leaders and motivational speakers to discuss manhood, purpose, and personal responsibility.

Otjiwarongo’s mayor shared his journey: "I was a professional barber here in Otjiwarongo for many, many years… I found interest in politics, and I was elected as mayor of this beautiful town."

Strategic executive Gotlieb Nghinongelwa urged focus: "You need to focus… The alcohol, the shows – they will always be there. But if you focus now, you are going to go very far."

He added: "We want to move you from just living for today to becoming a man everyone will be proud of."

About 60 boys attended, with some sharing their takeaways:

"As a young man, I am trying to build my image… find your value."

"I feel like a changed person right now… valuing yourself as a man, knowing your duties."

"The motivational speaker really helped us understand how to be a man."

The seminar aimed to inspire stronger, more responsible young men in Otjiwarongo.
