China has announced that it would impose 84-percent tariffs on goods it imports from the USA.

The new retaliatory tariffs are expected to come into effect on April 10, China’s Finance Ministry said. 

China had initially planned to impose 34-percent tariffs on US goods in response to Trump administration’s decision to impose 34-percent as announced last week by White House. 

US President then added another 50-percent on the tariffs on Tuesday, prompting a reaction from Beijing with 84-percent .
