Swapo Party's Nono Katjingisiua described the national budget as a well-balanced and pragmatic response to Namibia's socio-economic challenges and opportunities.

Katjingisiua highlighted the budget's focus on critical issues such as housing, education, unemployment, inequality, and health.

She praised the N$ 2.4 billion increase in the development budget, which will grow from N$ 10.4 billion to N$ 12.8 billion in the coming fiscal year.

This growth, she said, underscores the government's commitment to infrastructure development and poverty alleviation.

The education sector received particular attention, with 30 percent of the total budget allocation directed toward improving the lives and futures of Namibia's youth.

Katjingisiua emphasized the need for continued efforts to enhance the outcomes of past investments and ensure tangible improvements in the quality of life for Namibians.

Social protection programs are also expected to receive increased funding, which Katjingisiua believes will play a crucial role in reducing inequality and safeguarding livelihoods.

She also lauded the government's prioritization of social and infrastructure initiatives, emphasizing their role as key drivers of growth and transformation.
