More than a hundred former members of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) from the Erongo Region have officially joined the Swapo Party.

Among them are Taapopi Shikongo, who previously served as the IPC Walvis Bay Urban Constituency Chairperson and a member of the IPC Erongo Regional Executive Committee; Shat Dawid, the IPC Swakopmund Constituency Chairperson and also a member of the IPC Erongo Regional Executive Committee; and Christian Kazuvire, who held the positions of IPC Erongo Region Vice Chairperson, Acting Chairperson, member of the regional executive, and IPC Omaruru Constituency Chairperson.

The party's regional offices in Swakopmund hosted a ceremony to welcome the group.

The Swapo Party leadership welcomed the new members and celebrated the moment as a testament to the growing trust and support for their party’s vision.
