The 16th session of the 6th National Council has officially come to a close, with its Vice Chairperson, Victoria Kauma, praising members for their commitment, unity and hard work.

During Thursday's session, the Council reviewed four crucial bills along with the annual Appropriation Bill, which plays a key role in planning the nation's spending and development activities.

Kauma thanked all Members of Parliament for their full attendance and active participation throughout the session.

"Because of your dedication to the National Council responsibility, and for that reason, the National Council has always had a quorum. Give yourselves a round of applause. We never went without a quorum; we have always met."

Kauma also applauded the efforts of two key committees – the Rules, Orders and Business Committee and the Implementation and Coordination Committee – for their behind-the-scenes work in ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

"I am delighted that all activities are taking place as planned, and the flow of information from top leaders to the entire membership is done promptly. Added to this, we also thank those offices, ministries, and agencies which are OMAs for responding positively when called upon and during the National Council Standing Committee, oversight visits, and activities."
