A 14-year-old boy committed suicide in Windhoek's Otjomuise residential area.

According to the police report, Elgen Mogle was allegedly sent to the shops by his grandmother to buy a few foodstuffs for the house in the afternoon.

It is reported that after Elgen returned home, he was heard asking his little brother for a rope, and the grandmother told him that there was no rope.

He reportedly left home and was later discovered hanging under a tree a few meters from the house.
