The United Democratic Front's president, Hendrik Gaobaeb, has reaffirmed the party's commitment to service delivery, stressing that areas under the party's leadership must reflect visible development and accountable leadership.

Gaobaeb, who was speaking at the party's national consultation meeting in Kamanjab, commended party members whom he said worked and served with dedication, adding that their unwavering spirit has renewed his resolve.

He emphasised that the Kunene Region remains a UDF stronghold and warned against surrendering it to any other political party.

"We have regrouped, and we are united. As our former president, former vice president, and secretary general are here every day. We are reunited to introspect, and we are ready to reclaim Kamanjab, viva Kamanjab."

He said it is important that the party structure unite behind a common purpose and stressed the importance of fielding capable and community-driven candidates.

The UDF's manifesto, he noted, focuses on core issues such as land, housing, water, and rural development, and he urged members to ensure its full and effective implementation.

"The UDF will not tolerate underperformance; we want capable performers, and we will establish systems to monitor performance within the UDF. Therefore, I ask every candidate who aspires to become a regional councillor or a local authority councillor in November to be prepared to serve the people."

He said the party's central committee has already convened and mapped out a winning strategy for Kamanjab during the November election.

The UDF president said quality service delivery is non-negotiable while celebrating the growth of the party, highlighting the party's efforts to empower women to step into leadership roles.
