The Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) and Commonwealth Games Association has officially appointed.

Anri Parker as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2025. This announcement marks a pivotal step in the NNOC’s mission to advance Namibian sport at both the Olympic and Commonwealth levels.

Parker brings a strong background in sports administration and leadership, with years of experience managing high-profile sporting events, driving athlete development, and championing the values of the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

Her appointment signals a new era for the NNOC, with a renewed focus on excellence, sustainability, and international collaboration.

“As a respected figure in Namibian sports, Anri’s strategic vision and commitment to athlete welfare make her the ideal leader for this role.We are confident that she will strengthen our efforts to support athletes and raise Namibia’s global sporting profile” said NNOC President Dr. Ndeulipula Hamutumwa.

In her new role, Parker will oversee the strategic planning and execution of NNOC programs, including preparation for the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, enhancing athlete support structures, and forging partnerships with key stakeholders.

“I am deeply honored to take on the role of CEO,” said Parker. “Sport has the power to transform lives and unite communities. I look forward to building on the NNOC’s legacy, empowering athletes, and creating new opportunities to shine on the world stage.”

Dr. Hamutumwa also extended heartfelt thanks to outgoing Secretary General Mrs. Joan Smit for her years of dedicated service and leadership within the organization.

With Parker at the helm, the NNOC reaffirms its vision of becoming a leading National Olympic and Commonwealth Games body in Africa promoting unity, excellence, and opportunity through sport.
