With Otavi being at the centre of road accidents, Otjozondjupa Governor John ||Khamuseb expressed the need for the expansion of the health centre.

The governor made this statement while handing over two wheelchairs to the health centre.

"Because Otavi is now the central point where many accidents occur, and it has a population of more than 10,000 people, as well as farms, including the settlement of Kombat, which are also served here. I wish we could have two ambulances and a 20- or 30-bed hospital."

The Office of the Governor identified people in need of wheelchairs and handed over two to the health facility.

Dr. Viuree Kamuingona, the Clinical Head at the Otavi Health Centre, received the donation.

||Khamuseb will be handing over wheelchairs to other parts of the region.
