Father Tjijombo St. John's Faith Mission Church ordained Archbishop Julius Hoveka as bishop of the church.

The position of archbishop became vacant following the death of Bishop Petrus Tjijombo in 2023.

Different congregations, including sister churches in SADC, political leaders, and archbishops, gathered at Father Tjijombo St. John's Faith Mission Church to witness the inauguration of the 2nd Archbishop, Julius Hoveka.

Advocate Eva Shifotoka led Bishop Hoveka in the oath of acceptance as the handing-over ceremony was done in accordance with the church's constitution.

Former First Lady Monica Geingos read a congratulatory message on behalf of former President Dr. Nangolo Mbumba.

Geingos also highlighted what the church meant to the late President Hage Geingob, a place he considered home. 

The church also celebrated its 62nd annual feast with a host of activities.
