Namibian businesswoman and former Miss Universe Michelle McLean has once again been featured on the Nasdaq Billboard in Times Square, in New York City, USA. 

McLean saw herself on the Nasdaq Billboard in Times Square after being named Top Global Business Woman of the Year in Tourism & Investment by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

As the new International Business Officer for Gondwana Collection in North America, McLean said she is proud to represent Namibia on the global stage.

The collaboration is designed to harness synergies in destination marketing, strategic networking, and relationship-building to position Namibia as a premier travel destination and Gondwana as the host of choice for immersive, responsible tourism.

"It is really so surreal to see your photograph on Nasdaq in New York City and to be celebrated alongside professionals from around the globe in different industries for the International Association of Top Professionals. I am extremely proud and excited to be able to represent Gondwana Collection as the international business officer and to continue the good work we are doing in tourism and investment for Namibia. We are seeing a huge increase of North Americans travelling to Namibia, not only as tourists but also for investment opportunities." 

McLean, also host of the radio podcast 'Tourism & Investment by the International Association of Top Professionals', was awarded alongside celebrities including Scott Baio, known for TV shows like "Happy Days" and "Charles in Charge"; Susan Noles, global reality TV star of "Golden Bachelor"; and Debanjali Kamstra, Miss Earth UAE 2023 and Global Entrepreneur of the Year.

In December 2023, in Times Square in New York City, Michelle McLean was selected by the IAOTP for a Lifetime Achievement Award, along with her husband, Gary Bailey. 

Both were also inducted into the association's Hall of Fame.
