President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has thanked the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley, for her encouragement and moral support as she assumed Namibia’s leadership role.

The two leaders met briefly at the UN headquarters, where they discussed matters of mutual concern between Namibia and Barbados.

Prime Minister Mottley also commended President Nandi-Ndaitwah for appointing women to senior decision-making positions, particularly noting Namibia’s Cabinet, where 57% of portfolios are held by women.
