President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has turned 73 years old today.

The staff of the Presidency says the nation celebrates not only the President's birthday but also her remarkable achievements and the milestones of an exceptional woman who continues to inspire Namibia, Africa, and the world at large. 

It said her life's story embodies the resilience, courage, and determination of the Namibian people.

"Today, we celebrate your unwavering commitment to national development, your visionary leadership, and your steadfast dedication to the principles of unity, equality, and social justice," reads the statement.

 The staff noted that President Nandi-Ndaitwah's historic election as the first female Head of State in Namibia and Southern Africa stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for women and girls, adding that it was a testament to lifelong dedication to service, sacrifice, and leadership.
