Seasoned corporate executive Theo Mberirua died at the age of 63 in a Windhoek hospital last night. 

Family members confirmed that the late Mberirua passed away after a short illness. 

He was a seasoned corporate executive who held leadership roles in several private- and public-sector organisations in Namibia, including Telecom Namibia, Standard Bank Namibia, and Bidvest. 

He also served as interim CEO of the now-defunct Air Namibia. Additionally, he was the chairperson of the MTC board of directors. Funeral arrangements for the late Mberirua will be announced in due course.
