Miss Namibia, Johanna Swartbooi, returned home following her participation in the 74th Miss Universe Pageant Finale, held on 21 November in Thailand.

Swartbooi did not advance to the Top 30, exiting the competition after the preliminary round.

The Miss Universe 2025 crown was won by Fatima Bosch of Mexico.

Despite not progressing in the main competition, Swartbooi secured a major victory after being crowned Queen Universe 2025, an award based on the highest fan votes.

She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Namibians for rallying behind her and extended special thanks to Renate Shikongo, who spearheaded the national voting campaign.

"I am filled with so much emotion, so much joy, so much pride, and so much happiness. I walked on that stage with each one of you in my heart and mind. In every footstep that I took in Thailand, you were with me. And I felt and saw your support throughout, so thank you."

Family, friends, supporters, and members of the Miss Namibia organisation warmly welcomed her.

NBC Acting Head of PR and Marketing, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, praised Swartbooi for uniting the nation and elevating Namibia on the global stage.

"Thank you so much to all Namibians who have shown up, commented, voted, and advocated – everyone who is here today to welcome Johanna Swartbooi home."
