Miss NGO Namibia has crowned software development student Elly Aron as the next representative for the 2026 Miss World pageant.
 

Miss World Namibia has extended the due date for applications for the 2026 National Contest while also dropping the initially charged N$500 application fee.

The initial application period run between 30 October and 30 November. The extension runs from 7 to 16 January.

Miss Namibia, Johanna Swartbooi, returned home following her participation in the 74th Miss Universe Pageant Finale, held on 21 November in Thailand. 

Swartbooi did not advance to the Top 30, exiting the competition after the preliminary round.

Miss Namibia Johanna Swartbooi has set her sights on the universe as she departed to represent Namibia at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand, scheduled for November 2 to 21, 2025. 

The 28-year-old model hopes to represent the unity and cultural diversity of Namibia on the global stage. 

The Miss Namibia Organisation has announced a prize package worth over N$1.6 million for the reigning queen, Johanna Swartbooi.

This includes a Toyota Starlet Cross, a N$750,000 fully furnished home and a three-year scholarship of N$150,000.

President Geingob commended the Miss Namibia Organization for the mentorship and for instilling patriotism among the youth.

He is particularly proud that the contestants pursue causes in the communities even before entering the competition.
