Miss Namibia Johanna Swartbooi has set her sights on the universe as she departed to represent Namibia at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand, scheduled for November 2 to 21, 2025.
The 28-year-old model hopes to represent the unity and cultural diversity of Namibia on the global stage.
As Swartbooi boarded her flight to Thailand, with dreams and determination, she carried more than a crown; she carried the collective spirit of a nation yearning for unity and hope.
As Namibia eagerly waits for the event, Johanna's mission goes beyond the sparkle of the pageant; she aims to tell a story of hope, a vision of a Namibia united not just by its borders but by the shared dream of a brighter future for all its people.
"This is a great moment for me personally, and I believe for our country as well, because my win symbolises embodying unity, chasing your dreams, and really being persistent in achieving what your goals are. I believe that my representation at Miss Universe will be of unity and our cultural diversity, as well as the love that the Namibian people spread. I am so ready. I'm so excited to appreciate Thailand. We are going to the land of smiles, so I'm ready to share my Namibian smile with them and just have fun on stage. And I'm especially looking forward to the interview sessions."
PR Manager for NBC and the Miss Namibia Organisation, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, said, "From the NBC and Miss Namibia Organisation. We just want to encourage Namibians to keep on supporting her, keep on voting, and keep track of our social media platforms. Sawasdee khâ, Thailand, we are coming; we are coming to take over, and we are ready to place again in this year's Miss Universe pageant."
Swartbooi will step onto the world stage not just as Miss Namibia, but as a strong symbol ready to share Namibia's rich culture and spirit with the Miss Universe event.
