Keetmanshoop residents have welcomed the reigning Miss Pre-Teen Africa, Lizaan Kamburute, as she brought the title home over the weekend.
 
The community celebrates the grade 9 learner's achievement after participating in the pageant held on the 29th of last month.
 
A Teacher of P.K. De Villiers Venessa Beukes commended the beauty queen.
“We are incredibly proud of you. Today is simply about welcoming you home and celebrating this special moment with you. Your achievement is a source of pride and an inspiration to our young people.”
 
Kamburute, who is carrying the ||Kharas Region name on a wider platform, expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome.
 
“There are a lot of emotions; I will not exactly name all of them, and I am happy that you guys supported me, and yes, I am proud.”
