Miss World Namibia has extended the due date for applications for the 2026 National Contest while also dropping the initially charged N$500 application fee.
The initial application period run between 30 October and 30 November. The extension runs from 7 to 16 January.
Organisers say the extension is meant to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and equal opportunity for all eligible citizens.
Miss World Namibia encourages all interested and qualified candidates between the ages of 18 and 26 to submit their applications within the stipulated time frame.
The organisation carries out several projects to uplift the Namibian child, including the Boys Friendly Corner and similar initiatives for girls and parents.
Activities include cooking for the children, planting trees, and engaging with them.
Miss World Namibia Director Andreas Robert explained that the Miss World Namibia organisation is committed to uplifting and empowering women and the youth through the creative industry.

We call on the corporate and business people to hold hands with us when we knock on your office so that we can be able to ensure that the brand we send out there is ready to stand as Namibia.”
Miss World Namibia is the country's national representative to the Miss World International Competition, one of the world's most globally recognised platforms operating under the philosophy 'Beauty with a Purpose."
The Miss World Namibia 2026 crowning ceremony is set to take place on 31 January in the capital.
