Namibia's Capricorn Eagles wrap up their ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy campaign in Thailand with two wins from eight matches, ending the tournament with a spirited but unsuccessful chase against the United Arab Emirates in their final fixture on Sunday.
In their final match on Sunday, Namibia fall 28 runs short of the UAE's 153 for three, a total built on a dominant 144-run opening stand.
Wilka Mwatile produces one of her best international knocks, smashing 54 not out off 34 balls, but finds little support besides captain Suné Wittmann, who manages 23.
The loss caps a challenging week for the Eagles, who continue to show individual flashes of promise against some of the world's fastest-rising emerging teams.
Sunday's match comes after another narrow defeat on Friday, when Namibia lose to Papua New Guinea by just one run.
A 30 from Yasmeen Khan and a fighting 24 from Mwatile bring them within touching distance, but the Eagles cannot close out the chase in the final over and fall agonisingly short.
Earlier in the week, Namibia struggled against a well-disciplined Netherlands outfit, falling by 51 runs despite an explosive 41 off 15 balls from Khan, one of the standout innings of the tournament.
A day before, Scotland hand the Eagles a seven-wicket defeat after restricting Namibia to 74 all out.
In the opening round of fixtures, Namibia begin with mixed results.
They suffer an eight-wicket loss to Tanzania but bounce back strongly to secure their first victory of the tournament against Uganda, winning by 12 runs with Leigh-Marie Visser taking three wickets for just 10 runs.
However, another setback follows against hosts Thailand, who beat the Eagles by 27 runs.
