With the just concluded first-ever inaugural African Media Awards 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is organised by the African Union of Broadcasting and foundations honouring African leaders, the event featured nine categories with top nominees invited to a gala event.

NBC's Stanley Similo and Jackzee Tsaraeb were amongst the invited guests, Jackzee Tsaraeb was honoured in the Special Category for his documentary, The Evolution of Namibian Music.

NBC's Board Chairman, Lazarus Jacobs, discussed the importance of the award during the Namibia Connects programme.
