Former Miss Namibia and Miss Universe 1992, Michelle McLean-Bailey, was named as the Top Global Business Woman of the Year in Tourism Investment.

McLean-Bailey was honoured by the International Association of Top Professionals in Las Vegas, United States, on Saturday.

The recognition aims to celebrate excellence and leadership on an international platform.

The IAOTP, in a statement, says they mean to acknowledge McLean-Bailey's continued contribution and leadership within her field. 

The Las Vegas-held event brought together distinguished professionals from around the world.

The statement continues that its mission includes celebrating outstanding individuals who demonstrate impact, dedication and professional excellence on a global stage.

McLean-Bailey is Namibia's Global Brand Ambassador for Namibia, charged with promoting tourism, business and conservation in the international sphere.
