The Namibia Rugby Union hosted a press conference at Hage Geingob Stadium to introduce UXI Sport as a partner in the newly established Namibia Rugby Institute, set to commence in 2026.
Details of the Institute's programmes and objectives were also outlined during the event.
The Institute is designed to support the development of both male and female athletes while strengthening long-term talent identification, retention, and structured pathways from grassroots to elite rugby.
Operating as a structured high-performance and development platform, the Namibia Rugby Institute will combine elite rugby training with accredited academic and vocational education programmes.
The Institute will be established through a joint venture under Namibian law, with the Namibia Rugby Union and Donald Neilon as shareholders, while UXI Sport will act as the franchisor and service provider.
The initiative forms a central part of the NRU's strategic rebuilding programme and reflects a shared commitment to the long-term growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of rugby in Namibia.
Further details regarding operational timelines and programme implementation will be announced in due course.
