Vice President Lucia Witbooi arrived back in the country this afternoon following the conclusion of her official visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

Witbooi participated in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit. 

The summit focused on turning global commitment into practical actions through partnership investment and innovation, particularly for developing countries and emerging economies.

The VP held talks with the Haliburton Group, which expressed interest in investing in Namibia.

The VP also delivered a keynote address at the summit, highlighting Namibia's pursuit to deepen cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in the development of sustainable energy, water infrastructure and market access, positioning Namibia as a gateway to the Middle East.
