Six people have died in road accidents over the weekend, according to police information.
 
The police's weekend report also features violent crimes, including armed robberies, rape, and murder.
 
Three people died in a head-on collision on the Omaruru-Karibib main road when a VW Jetta was struck on the right side by a BMW travelling in the opposite direction.
 
The impact caused the Jetta to veer off the road. Three occupants died on the spot, including the driver.
 
The BMW driver sustained serious injuries and is suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver's license.
 
Two people died after a vehicle overturned after the driver lost control in the Omatjete area.
 
Outjo Police are investigating a murder case after the naked body of a 21-year-old woman was discovered behind the Sophia Shaningwa Fire Station on Saturday morning.
 
The victim had multiple wounds to the head and face.
 
Her cellphone was missing from the scene, and no arrests have been made.
 
At Otjiwarongo, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped at knifepoint while walking home from a tuck shop.
 
The suspect is still on the run.
 
At Tsandi, a 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year-old disabled girl and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
 
Rape cases were also reported in Katutura in Windhoek and Ongwediva.
 
Meanwhile, armed robberies and housebreakings were also reported.

In Kalkrand, it is alleged that suspects forced entry into a house while the owner was asleep, tied him up, and stole electronics, cash, and other valuables.
 
The police pursued the suspects, who later abandoned their getaway vehicle and fled on foot.
 
In the capital's Klein Windhoek residential area, six armed men robbed a household of property valued at over N$150,000.
 
Police also made several arrests related to drug dealing, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and stock theft.
