The Namibian Police have identified the deceased woman whose decomposed body was found in bushes behind the University of Namibia’s main campus in Windhoek as 27-year-old Jennifer Isaacks.

Police say Isaacks was identified by her next-of-kin.

Authorities are still working to establish the cause of Isaacks's death.

The decomposed remains were discovered on 31 January.

At the time, police appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the woman, indicating she was found wearing specific clothing items that were circulated to help trace her identity and relatives.

The police continue to urge anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the nearest police station.
