The Karaku Marine Company beefed up the food security programme at the Marmer Primary School Community Hostel in Aus, ||Kharas Region, with fish products.
Project Director Ignatius Tjipura noted that the challenges faced by the hostel prompted the donation, which was necessitated by the ongoing drought in the region and the limited agricultural activities, particularly in Aus and its surrounding areas.
The acting principal of the school, Erastus Nghiyolwa, received the donation on behalf of the school.
The Head Girl of the school, Chrizel Lazarus, expressed appreciation to the donors on behalf of the hostel learners.
"Today is indeed a meaningful and memorable day for us; the donations of fish products by Karaku Marine are not just a gift of food but a gift of care, compassion and hope. Such generosity reminds us that there are people and organisations in our community that truly care about the well-being and future of learners."
