||Kharas Governor Dawid Gertze has welcomed the appointment of Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services Suzan Ndjaleka.

He described the appointment as strategic to strengthen service delivery and accelerate the sixth National Development Plan.

Ndjaleka was the chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the National Fish Consumption Promotion Trust and councillor for ǃNamiǂNûs Constituency.

Gertze says the region is proud and confident in her abilities.

Ndjaleka says her role will be to support and complement the existing staff to help achieve its goals.

"I will extensively have to consult with grassroots through the political leadership, the community activist, the social organisation, civil societies and faith-based organisations because this ministry needs all because it's about everyone's health, it's about everyone's social wellbeing, and I am ready to take on this task."

Swapo Party ||Kharas Coordinator Matheus Mumbala commended Ndjaleka's leadership and resilience.

"You remember we had her from 2020 to 2025; they suffered, the three councillors we had, but they never gave up. They showed the capabilities of leadership, and when she returned to the office and we, as a region, decided to take her to the national council, the president saw how strong she is."
