Junior rugby action kicked off early this season on Thursday afternoon at Suiderhof Sportsfield.

Suiderhof Primary School hosted the event, welcoming teams from Orban Primary School, Emma Hoogenhout, and Pioneerspark Primary School.

The matches were part of a schools rugby series, with teams from Under-10 to Under-13 categories competing.

A total of 11 matches were played, each lasting 25 minutes without halftime or extra time.

Teams were allowed unlimited rolling substitutions, giving more players a chance to participate.

The fast-paced format kept the games competitive and engaging.

With the season set to begin soon, the teams will aim to build on the experience gained from the event.
