The Namibia Football Association has announced that the Confederation of African Football has approved Namibia to host the CAF B Coaching Licence Course.

The CAF B License is a coaching qualification that allows coaches to work in professional and amateur leagues.

Coaches with this license can serve as assistant coaches in professional leagues, head coaches of women's teams, youth national teams from Under-17 to Under-23, and head coaches in second-tier leagues.

The course will be hosted in Namibia, allowing local coaches to access training without travelling outside the country.

According to Technical Director Jacqueline Shipanga, the programme aims to improve coaching standards and player development in Namibia.

Shipanga also outlined the selection criteria for candidates, with the course expected to start in July.

Coach Errol Damaseb, who holds a CAF C Licence, has led Namibia's Under-17 women's team at the 2025 COSAFA Championships and in the Under-20 World Cup qualifiers.Damaseb said the course will support his goal of coaching at a higher level.

Recent graduates with CAF B licences include Paulus Shipanga, Salome Iiyambo, Uerikondjera Kasaona andThuba Sibanda. Namibia has 19 coaches who hold CAF A Coaching Licences.
