Oshana Governor Hofni Iipinge has officially launched the Oshana Regional Council Strategic Plan (2025-2030) and Customer Service Charter while calling on public servants to do more and talk less in serving communities.

Speaking at the launch, Iipinge urged government officials to ensure that every meeting they hold, every plan they formulate, and every decision they make contributes to improving the lives of the people and restoring the hope and dignity of the communities.

He said the launch demonstrates the council's commitment to effective governance, professionalism, integrity, accountability, service excellence, and sustainable development for the people of Oshana.

The strategic plan serves as a roadmap outlining the region's vision, priorities, and commitments over the next five years.

It provides a clear direction on how the Oshana Regional Council intends to contribute to national development aspirations while responding to the needs and expectations of local communities.

The strategic plan is a practical instrument aimed at aligning regional development efforts with national priorities, the Swapo Party Election Manifesto, and the broader objectives of economic growth, job creation, social welfare, and improved service delivery.

The Customer Service Charter, which was also launched, represents the council's public commitment to placing citizens at the centre of service delivery.

The charter clearly outlines the standards residents can expect when engaging with the council and promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, courtesy, and accountability among public servants.
