The sixth edition of ANGOTIC 2026 has officially come to a close in Luanda, Angola.

Over three days, the forum brought together governments, technology companies, entrepreneurs and innovators from across Africa and beyond to discuss the future of digital transformation.

ANGOTIC 2026 attracted over 30 000 visitors, marking a significant increase from last year's event.

The forum featured more than 100 exhibitors, startup showcases, training sessions and discussions focused on innovation, connectivity and emerging technologies.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Angola's Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, said the growth of the event reflects increasing interest in technology among young people.

It also shows the success of government programmes aimed at advancing digital transformation.

"ANGOTIC has become a barometer for the demand, training and engagement of young people in the field of information and communication technologies in Angola. The 2026 edition recorded an increase of about 22 percent, with 211 startups participating out of 340 expressions of interest."

The event also hosted delegates from ten African and European countries, while hundreds of young people benefited from training opportunities and engagements with industry leaders.

Organisers said preparations are already underway for the seventh edition, with the forum continuing to position itself as one of Africa's leading platforms for technology and innovation.
