The Namibia Football Association is continuing its efforts to strengthen football development through coach education. The association today officially launched the CAF B Coaching License course, providing local and regional coaches with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and obtain a higher CAF coaching qualification.
The training programme has brought together coaches from Namibia and neighbouring countries, reflecting a shared commitment to improving coaching standards across the region. It is designed to develop the tactical, technical, and leadership skills of the participants while providing them with the opportunity to progress within the Confederation of African Football's coaching education pathway.
As part of the opening ceremony, the Namibia Football Association also honoured football legend Oscar Mengo in recognition of his contribution to the development of football in Namibia and his role in advancing the game. The recognition celebrated Mengo's legacy and acknowledged the contribution of those who laid the foundation for the growth of football in Namibia.
The course is expected to strengthen coaching capacity in Namibia and neighbouring countries, contributing to the continued development of football across the region.
