The Swapo Party Women Council ||Kharas Coordinator, Shipola Shihepo, has urged members to choose leaders who are committed and capable of running the next regional office bureau.

She made these calls at a meeting at Keetmanshoop over the weekend.

Shihepo said it is vital to elect leaders who will steer the ship with honesty and integrity.

"I therefore encourage every delegate to faithfully adhere to these requirements and ensure that the nominations are conducted in a transparent, democratic, and fair manner. We must not allow personal feelings towards an individual to influence our choices; if a candidate meets the necessary requirements, they should be given a fair chance, regardless of personal relationships." 

She further reminded the members that democracy is the party's greatest strength, guided by the party rules and procedures.

Shihepo urged the members to remain united and ensure that the nomination and selection process does not create divisions within the party.
