Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform Minister Inge Zaamwani has proposed four candidates for appointment to the Land Reform Advisory Commission for a three-year term.
The nominees are Cardini Corinda Corinne Roman, Jeaneth Kuhanga, Mona-Lisa Nicoletta McKay and Ermelinda Tjimune.
Zaamwani said the nominations followed a review of the commission’s composition, with consideration given to regional representation, gender balance and the skills required to carry out its functions.
The Land Reform Advisory Commission advises the minister on land reform matters, including decisions on the acquisition of land for resettlement purposes. It also reviews the minister’s exercise of powers under the Act and may recommend improvements or amendments where necessary.
These proposed appointments come after the commission’s term ended on 30 April 2026.
