The Namibia Ports Authority (NamPort) has declared a dividend of N$130 million. 

The announcement was made by the Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, after Namport's Annual General Meeting held in Windhoek.

NamPort's profits increased from N$492 million to N$579 million, while the group's profit rose from N$583 million to N$614 million.

Nekundi also approved performance bonuses for employees, stating, "I have, with pride, given my concurrence for the employees of NamPort to receive performance bonuses, as they indeed excel in their duties. When bonuses are awarded based on performance, that is what we aspire to achieve."

The minister said the bonuses should encourage other state-owned enterprises to improve their performance and reward employees for their contributions.

NamPort spent over N$589 million on goods and services during the year under review, with approximately N$336 million allocated to Namibian-owned enterprises. Of this total, N$116 million was directed towards small and medium enterprises.
