Family and community members gathered on Friday for a convoy from the Central Hospital State Mortuary, demanding justice for 27-year-old Danelize Majiedt, whose dismembered remains were discovered along Daan Viljoen Road earlier this month.
Under the message, "We Won't Be Quiet", the demonstration seeks justice for Majiedt, with calls for those responsible for her killing to be identified and brought to account.
Majiedt was reported missing on 30 August 2026, after she was last seen on 23 August.
Her remains were discovered on 5 October beside a culvert, approximately two kilometres from a police roadblock.
Morgan Daries is a friend of late Danelize Majiedt.
"We want justice to take place, and whoever did this to our sister, to a mother, or to a daughter, they must come in front. And we are asking the police, this must not be just an ordinary case; this must be something that you guys will work on."
DNA analysis confirmed her identity. However, several body parts, including her head, neck, arms, hands, lower legs and feet, remain missing.
Police believe the site where her remains were discovered may have been used to dispose of the body rather than being the primary crime scene.
"We are calling on the public; let's unite, let's stand as one. This won't be our last convoy - until we find these guys or the person that did this to Danelize, we are going to make noise until this person comes forth."
The convoy comes as the family prepares to lay Majiedt to rest, while the community continues to demand answers and accountability.
Police have urged anyone with information about Majiedt's movements on the day of her disappearance or the suspected perpetrators to come forward.
