Young people from the Omuramba Okaserandu Youth Organisation have joined hands with the Opuwo Town Council to clean public spaces and promote hygiene as a shared community responsibility.
Organisation President Vetjituavi Nderura encouraged residents to participate and take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean.
Uatjivisa Uarije, the Head of Local Economic Development, Community Development, and Communication for the Opuwo Town Council, said the initiative supports the council’s efforts to maintain a clean environment and reduce health risks, including cholera.
Residents, businesses, churches and traditional authorities are also being urged to come on board, as a cleaner Opuwo means a healthier community.
