A Grade 7 learner at St. Barnabas Primary School, Rikuvera Mundora, has called on all Namibian learners to take reading seriously as it can improve their lives.
Mundora says she loves reading as it keeps her entertained and teaches her about the world.
She says she was inspired by her English teacher and older sister to love reading.
Mundora advised other learners to always have a notebook when reading to write down words they don't understand so that they can look them up in the dictionary later.
Rikuvera was speaking to nbc News at the launch of Readathon week at St. Barnabas Primary School in Windhoek.
