Delegates to the Swapo Party Congress in the Omaheke Region turned up in numbers to listen to and ask questions to candidates who are vying for the top three positions.

The party's Regional Information and Mobilisation Officer, Liberius Kalili, says the engagement with delegates, which was not open to the media, shows that the party remains on course to maintain peace and unity.

Speaking to the nbc News team at Gobabis, Kalili says candidates and delegates had a lengthy marathon discussion.

There are thirty-eight delegates from Omaheke expected to attend the upcoming Swapo Party congress.

The ruling party's third regional engagement of candidates and delegates will be in Swakopmund, in the Erongo Region.
