Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) Member of Parliament Rosa Mbinge-Tjeundo has raised concerns about the state of the country's education system.

The Andimba Toivo ya Toivo Secondary School scooped the Oshana Regional Library Annual Debate Championship award this weekend.

In second place and third, respectively, were the Reverend Juuso Shikongo Secondary School and Dr. Abraham Iiyambo SS, while Nehale Secondary School was placed fourth. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) will hold by-elections in four constituencies by June of this year.

The positions became vacant following the swearing-in of four councillors as members of the National Assembly last week.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was sworn in as Namibia's first female President this morning. 

Right from the onset, she took a stand to forge the nation forward, receiving a standing ovation in recognition of the women leaders who have paved the way.

The Swapo Party Vice President says the Office of the Founding President in the new Swapo Party National headquarters will now be converted to the Sam Nujoma Museum.

The regional party coordinator, Daniel Muhuura, took the opportunity to reflect on his memories of Dr. Nujoma.

Namibia's former representative to South Africa, Joshua  ||Hoëbeb, recalled the belief the late Founding President, Sam Nujoma, had in the capabilities of every Swapo leader in the process of nation-building.
