Rundu Town Council's annual Trade Fair Fundraising Dinner raised more than N $300,000 for the upcoming event.
The trade fair is scheduled to start on the 28th of this month and run until the fifth of November.
This year's trade fair will be sponsored by Recon Africa with N$150 thousand, while FNB Namibia pledged N$50 thousand.
Speaking at the event, the trade fair's patron, John Mutorwa, urged the event organisers to use the money for its intended purpose.
Mutorwa also raised concern about a lack of development in the town and called on the leadership to work out modalities to overcome challenges hampering development.
He believes that the trade fair will create opportunities for regional and local authorities to market and attract investment.
This year's trade fair will be held under the theme: "Re-imagining Socio-Economic Progress of Rundu Town through trade exposition".
