NamPol's Deputy Inspector General for Administration, Major General Anna-Marie Nainda, has been elected as a Delegate for Africa and a member of the InterPol Executive Committee.

She was elected at the 90th Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi, India.

It was a celebratory atmosphere at the Hosea Kutako International Airport as NamPol's Inspector General, Lieutenant General Josef Shikongo, and Deputy Inspector General for Administration, Major General Anna-Marie Nainda, disembarked the plane.

And NamPol's senior management lined up as they welcomed the delegation, of which one of them, Major General Anna-Marie Nainda, had just committed in Dehli to strengthen Interpol's capabilities, strategies, and partnerships to address the evolving needs of member countries as a delegate for Africa and member of the InterPol Executive Committee.

For Nainda, Interpol is a key player in fostering international cooperation among law enforcement agencies, such as regional police cooperatives, international organisations, and private institutions, to champion the cause of global security.

The mission to Dehli, of course, went well, but the campaign for Namibia to be elected wasn't easy, says NamPol's Inspector General, Lieutenant General Josef Shikongo.
