The residents of Otjimanangombe Village in the Epukiro Constituency in Omaheke now have a fully furnished ambulance, donated by the Catherine Bullen Foundation.

The ambulance is valued at N$1 million.

The ambulance was handed over to Dr Kalumbi Shangula, the Minister of Health and Social Services.

"Today, I am pleased to receive this donation from the Catherine Bullen Foundation. I call upon others to emulate the great deeds of the Catherine Bullen Foundation in the promotion of health care services, especially in the rural areas of our beloved country where more remains to be done."

The Catherine Bullen Foundation's Director, Rodger Bullen, reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to assisting rural communities in Namibia, especially in the area of health.

"We request that the ambulance be driven safely, now on behalf of the Catherine Bullen Foundation, Linda and I have great pleasure in handing over this to the Ministry of Health and Social Services." 

Also speaking at the occasion was a senior traditional leader, Akim Ngupahua.

"The gift we have received today, please drivers of this ambulance, it should remain clean at all times and it shouldn't be parked anywhere other than where it is supposed to be."
