French Leave from the Aminius horse racing scoop the first ever Gobabis Derby that was sponsored by Debmarine.

The event took place at Gobabis Turf Club on Saturday .

Over 80 horses took part in the first ever Gobabis Summer Derby which is sponsored by Debmarine Namibia.

Amongst others, the 1600m import division that had 13 horses competing saw  Able  Suprise getting the first spot, while 

Extreme  Pain came in second. Living Stone was 3rd.

The supporting race had Lady Diamond of Aminius Racing in the first place, with Supporters Club Sunny Side in the second place.

Ovitoto racing's Freedom Fighter came third.

The main event had 9 horses competing for 50 thousand Dollars.

French Leave of Aminius racing dominated from the beginning and won the race.

Crystal Stream from Khomas Turf came in second, while Bold Diva of Angermund  Racing can only manage the third spot.

Nadhi Kalili said his company will go back to the board room on whether they will keep on sponsoring the event or not.
