A young boxer from Opuwo has set himself a dream target to become a boxing champion in the not so distant future.

Meet Panuel Muharukua from the village of Oshakati tjo Vahimba, near Opuwo in the Kunene region.

He decided to pack his bags and move to Windhoek where he was welcomed with open arms as a development boxer by the well-known boxing trainer Tobias Nashilongo at the MTC Salute Boxing Gym.

According to Nashilongo, the young boxer has what it takes to become successful in the sport.

The boxer himself did not say much but expressed his love for the sport.

If nurtured well, according to Nashilongo, Muharukua will follow in the footsteps of a once popular boxer, the late Opuwo native Abiud Kanambunga.
