Namibia could become a country to discover or show others a path.
This was was said by the delegation of the International Labour Organisation and the United Nations after concluding a week-long mission in the country.
The eight-member delegation held discussions with the President's office, Prime Minister, Government Ministers, Banks and development partners.
Namibia was chosen by the ILO to receive the first high-scoping Level Mission for a possible Pathfinder country, an initiative of the UN's Global Accelerator initiative.
The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation proposed a policy to assist in identifying why employment was not created.
The Global Accelerator initiative is a post-COVID-19 strategic transformational agenda to accelerate the realization of national goals, such as job creation and strengthening social protection.
As a possible Pathfinder country, Namibia is required to identify its entry points.
