The event took place at the Independence Stadium on a sunny afternoon resulting in the turf being hot too and making it difficult for the athletes to perform at their level best.
With athletes preparing on gravel fields and the competition taking place at the Independence Stadium, the athletes also found this to be a barrier. They shared their views on the issue.
